Tuina, the Traditional Chinese Energy Massage, is one of the most ancient treatments in the world. Historical evidence of its existence dates back from over two thousand years ago and since then, the art of massage was handed down through the works of famous physicians in many schools and movements, as evidence of its dissemination.

Massage is a versatile and direct discipline, for it is applied without instruments on the acupoints and energy channels of the human body. It produces undisputed therapeutic effects in a wide range of disorders, injuries of both internal and external origin, traumas, children's and women's diseases, internal medicine and traumatology. For all these reasons Tuina has been part of the preventive and healing practices of Chinese Medicine from its very beginning, gaining deep appreciation from patients.

In recent years the practice of Chinese energy massage has been the object of mounting interest and widespread success, for it is a minimally-invasive procedure (unlike acupuncture), it is non-toxic and lacks side-effects (like drugs): it is a safe practice with limited side-effects and of proven effectiveness.

Professor Li Xiaoming has taught extensively Traditional Chinese Energy massage (Tuina) and child massage techniques, passing on his knowledge to his Italian students.Over the years, many of them completed their training and achieved certificates in Energy Massage and in Child Massage from Beijing University.

His numerous lectures, today also collected in a book, are the foundation for the teaching of Tuina techniques as part of the learning process at the Qigong School in Milan. Particularly, they inspired a first four-year Course of Traditional Chinese Energy Massage in Rome in 2009-2014, organized by the “Qigong People Li Xiaoming” club in Monterotondo, near Rome, under the technical direction of Professor Li Xiaoming.
